Winter Blues? Not this season (Here's How)

Women who suffer from holiday depression or better known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is at an all-time high.

For people who live with seasonal affective disorder, winter can bring much more than cold temperatures and snow; it may trigger feelings of hopelessness and depression. According to new research, women are likely to fare worse than men.

As always I'm here to bring you the foods and cannabis research that can help you through this holiday season.

When going through situational depression you must take time to be kind to yourself first of all (now that's that out of the way) here are a few things you can do

  • Self Care -take time to have a bath using a CBD bomb, use a topical or curl up with your favorite cozy robe and slippers.

  • Your home is your Queendom. Take time to make your space regal. That can be cleaning, making a new finger paint painting or just rearranging your furniture.

  • Make a date with yourself. Paint your nails, wash your hair or take yourself out for a night on the town. No matter what treat yourself with an unlikely treat.

  • Be Sour. Research and use strains high in limonene and linalool content.  Because they are known to have calming and antidepressant properties and use strains high in CBD. CBD has non-intoxicating benefits and is a great add on to keep situational depression at bay.

  • Volunteer as my Gmama always said ”when you feel in need, help others!” volunteer at your local soup kitchen you'll be surprised by how blessed you really are.

  • Contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) if you feel you need immediate help.

This time can be trying but with empathy, patience, and forgiveness we all can make it through.

I hope this helps…

Until next time,
